| “When a client asks me to recommend a trainer it is an easy answer, Jason Mickalauskas. I have had nothing but great feedback from all of my referrals, from basic puppy obedience to problem dogs. Even right now, my little dog is patiently sitting in her “place” waiting for my release. Call Jason and yours’ will do the same.”

| “All of my clients that I have referred to Best Paw Forward have been very pleased with the training their pets have received, as well as the trainers’ professionalism. I, too, have only had good experiences. Both of my dogs have received multiple training sessions with both Brian and Jason, bringing peace to my “zoo” of animals.
For example: I decided to adopt a crazy 1 year old Golden Retriever rescue- he was out of control! You couldn’t even get him out of the kennel without him licking/humping/jumping up on everyone. Leash- what’s the that?!? But thanks to Brian at Best Paw Forward, my “little” lunatic was transformed into a well-behaved and much loved member of my four-legged family.'[

| “Being a veterinarian for many years, I have had the opportunity to refer multiple behaviorally challenged cases to Best Paw Forward. There has not been a case yet that Jason and his trainers could not handle. The outcome to which has always been successful. Emotionally stressed clients who were referred to Best Paw Forward have been able to address this frustration and turn it into a peace of mind and enjoy spending time with their companions again. It is most rewarding to know that at the end of their training, clients are impressed at the bond that the animals have developed for Jason and his other trainers. I will continue to boast and praise the work of Best Paw Forward, and refer my clients to him.”

| “I would and have recommend Best Paw Forward to any one who mentions they are having ‘issues’ with their puppies/dogs. We got a pit bull puppy in December of 2010. We took him to ‘puppy Kindergarten’. It was great for socialization but as far as really controlling him and making him obey us unless we walked around with a pouch filled with treats, it was not happening.
In desperation I searched the web for help. I found Jason from Best Paw Forward. He was the best thing that ever happened to us. In three yes, three lessons we had our pit bull, Bruno, under control. I couldn’t believe it my self!
At typical day was, constantly yelling ‘Bruno! No!’ Or if some one came to the door. We were hanging on to his collar for dear life almost breaking his neck. He would jump all over whom ever walked in the door embarrassing!
Now, he “comes” to us when called. We “place” him when someone comes to the door. It is a whole new world in our house.
We call Jason from BPF whenever we have concerns. His motto is once a client always a client and he is there for you. Terrific support!”

| “Our pit bull-pointer mix Tony was aggressive towards other dogs, to the point that walking him was becoming an issue.
After the first few sessions w Jason at Best Paw Forward we saw immediate improvement in our dog’s behavior. His technique was hands on, consistent, easy to follow.
Most importantly he gave us the confidence we needed as dog owners.
We highly recommend Jason, James, and Best Paw Forward.”

| “I am currently training my second dog with Jason and my fourth with Best Paw Forward. I have worked with other trainers in the past and I can honestly say there is no one comparable to Jason and his training methods.
My three year old Labrador has been off leash since his third lesson (as a pup) with Jason and my five month old puppy has been training off leash since her second lesson at 17 1/2 weeks old. But this is because of daily training-incorporating what Jason showed me at the lesson into my daily training sessions and my daily routine both outside and inside the home.
Jason is a very gifted and professional dog trainer and is always in control of any situation that may arise. He is incredibly knowledgeable about dog behavior and has impeccable timing for corrections. Jason is sharp, progresses quickly and doesn’t waste the owner’s time yet will back track and patiently explain what he just said so the client understands. Jason will adapt his training program according to the client’s goals. Jason is very easy to work with and challenges the owner to maximize the dog’s potential.
Jason is Long Island’s Cesar Millan!”

| “We adore our American Pit Bull, but she was completely out of control and we were at our wits end.
Luckily, our veterinarian recommended Best Paw Forward. Jason met with us to present several training options and was very helpful in guiding us to a decision that would be best for Opehlia and our family. We opted to send Opehlia to their ‘boot camp’. Two weeks later Ophelia came home a changed dog; she was controlled, loving, and happy.
Best Paw Forward provided professional service at a reasonable price with the end result of an obedient dog and happy family.”

| “I am writing to tell you about my experience with Jason Mickalauskas of Best Paw Forward. I first met Jason, when I was looking for help in dealing with my two dogs, both of whom were displaying aggressive behavior. Jason came to my home to evaluate the dogs and then discussed with me, their issues, their needs, and what we could do to address my concerns. He made it clear to me, that in part, their behavior was a response to my behavior. Jason taught me how to be a better leader for my dogs and how my fear of how my dogs were reacting, was further fueling their behavior. What I most enjoyed about Jason, was his innate ability to not just train my dogs, but to train me. Jason immediately honed in on the fact that I was not correcting my female’s behavior because I felt sorry for her (she had been diagnosed with a terminal illness). As a result, I was allowing ill mannered behavior to continue. Jason was correct when he pointed out that I knew she was sick, but she didn’t and that regardless of the length of her life, a trained dog is a happy dog. Since having Jason around 100% of the time was not possible and carrying around a cardboard cut out of Jason would be very inconvenient, I knew that I had to to become a knowledgeable and confident pack leader. The work I did with Jason to train my two personal dogs has paid off in my volunteer work as an animal rescuer. I am now better able to read a dog’s behavior and evaluate their interactions with people and other animals. I have returned to Jason with rescue dogs and when I added another member to my pack. If there is one thing I learned in rescuing animals, is that lack of training is the number one reason a dog lands in the shelter. A loved dog should be a trained dog. Training not only made my life with my dogs more enjoyable, but it made the dogs more confident and secure. I highly recommend Best Paw Forward.”

| “Vince and I rescued Lippz because she is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met and she is an absolute joy to be with. When we adopted her, however, we didn’t know that she was incredibly dog aggressive. Vince and I hated walking Lippz. She barked, she tugged, she pulled, she growled and frothed at the mouth whenever she saw another dog walking down the street. We were afraid that if she escaped from her leash, she would have gone on a neighborhood rampage, eating dogs along the way. We sought help from two dog trainers but both of their techniques didn’t help. We didn’t know where to go or who to turn to for help. We thought that we were going to have to return Lippz to the rescue group. Thank God for Google because we found Jason at Best Paw Forward. At the first session ? in less than an hour ? Jason had Lippz walking, totally relaxed, with members of the pack. At the next session, Lippz had no outbursts and Jason was definitely taming her inner Cujo. I don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t found Jason. His talents with dogs are amazing. Walking Lippz is a totally different experience and has become a pleasure (even though we hit an occasional ‘bump’ in the road that needs immediate correcting, which Jason has taught us how to do).”
